ON MY SOAPBOX!

**READ THIS ARTICLE**

I'm going through my Google feed and the article above is there from a website i read.

Okay, so it's blatantly clear that Olivia Palermo is slender, although think back to how skinny Nicole Richie was at her worst, much much thinner than this chick. Anyway...it's not the fact that she's getting stick from the comments attached to the article about being thin that is pissing me off, its all the negative feedback on the size of her boobs. Now, being totally honest, it would appear that i share the same bra size as this women. TINY! I would look no different in a bikini top.

WHAT IS THE OBSESSION WITH TITS!? I'm thinking because i am not a lesbian nor am i a man i don't and can't understand.

I constantly desire a boob job, just to make me look more womanly, but then i would look just like everyone else...having NO breasts is different, and i AM different in a lot of ways.

Ugh! TITS/BOOBS/KNOCKERS/HOOTERS/BREASTS.......get on my nerves!

What I don't get is that why girls get all this criticism about their natural beautiful bodies? The skinniest models generally have small breasts as you'd expect being so slim. Then they're pressured to have breast implants. It's ridiculous that the 'perfect body' has to be artificially created. Skinny and big boobs are two things that were never meant to happen at the same time. I don't know what the obsession with them is either. Thing is they don't want to see big boobs on older women because they only stay pert when you're young! Then what? It's farcical really.

I'd say if you want to get yours done only ever do it for yourself and never to please some misguided cynical preference of stupid men and the fashion industry. PS. You DO look like everyone else, though prettier than most. Plastic people are not representative of the millions of normal women in the world.

Off soap box now. :)

Thank you gorgeous lady :)

It's the comments that make me realise that i am in the minority, i know that for sure anyway, just being out and about, especially in the summer when i feel even worse about myself.

I honestly just don't get it. Okay, so if a womens breasts are sagging slightly, that's not acceptable, or if a womens breasts are too small, thats not good either, they have to be perfectly round and pert and that's not generally achieveable unless surgery is involved (or you're young and haven't had children....OR....you're just bloody lucky to be blessed with the pefect 34c's....). I WISH!

Breasts are the bain of my life. Striving to look like i belong to the human race and NOT in a "Freak Show" is hard work :(

yes boobs knockers etc etc are such a massive thing to people,i used to be just like you when i was younger as i was so thin and had no boobs but no i'm size 12-14 and still growing lol then my boobs are an ok size, have you ever put weight on before except for when you got pregnant? and if so did ur boobs grow too a bit like mine did,i still wear a push up wonderbra even now ha ha,but yes i would get it done for yourself and not for any man etc but i can understand that you want it done even though i don't think you need it as it really does not matter big small flat huge who cares as yep they do sag when ur older and if when i have my baby mine go all saggy then i might thnk like you and want one done myself lol,but no ive never really known many women to be stick thin and have big boobs unless they have had them done, isnt it a shame you can't get em done for free on the nhs ha ha love and hugs vin xx♥xx

Back on soapbox!

I've seen pictures of top models like Kate Moss on the catwalk in see-through gear. I can't bring myself to say she had small boobs because it's down to subjective opinion. I notice that her A cups seem to have made her quite a few millions. Sadly it depends on fashion. The 'waif' look was hot in the press. Not that I approve of stick thin models but some people just are. We ought to have a fair mix of all sizes, representative of real women.

It must be lovely to wear a top in summer without a bra and feel completely free! Plus there's nothing yuckier than seeing bra straps with vest tops and four boobs because the bra's the wrong size. It's fine if they're pert but you get to a certain age where in my case I've got fatty bits between my arms and boobs bulging out of my tops. No exercise will shift these blobby bits. I'm so paranoid now I will not wear anything sleeveless. This is the thing, even when you've got them they've far from perfect. I could hold a pencil under mine! Floppy frigging ugly things!

We always wish for what we haven't got but most the time we don't want it when we have. The answer has to be to be yourself. It's hard when you're been constantly bombarded with unrealistic idealistic images! Sooo not fair on real women!!!

There is hope! You can love yourself just the way you are, which is radiant and beautiful. If anyone else has a problem with your body tell them to have a look at themselves before they pass their unwanted opinion. Grrr!

Great post gorgeous smart lady. Got me thinking. xxx

PS. Why do some men like big boobs? Because they're still soppy babies who yearn for their mothers. :)

My goodness. Not only are you beautiful, articulate and clearly VERY intelligent - but you have boobies too, i am completely jealous.

Miss K Moss has small breasts, not tiny, just small and yes, i KNOW that picture you're talking about. But the thing is, she's a model, an out of the ordinary 5'7 catwalk model, so she could be bald with 3 eyes and she'd still make a fortune.

I completely agree that clothes should be able to be worn by ALL shapes and sizes. I once saw a documentary that interviewed a top designer and he was asked about his underweight corpse looking girls, and he said and i remember this so clearly 'Clothes don't hang right on *fat* women'. NO ONE was saying put Miss 40st on the runway - just a Miss Average would do...but no, his clothes aren't made and would never be made for anything bigger than a 10 (at a push).

If i was not to wear a bra i would be mistaken for someone with an old head and a child's body...not a great combo. I have to wear something to give the illusion that i DO in fact have a little bit of something. Currently i'm wearing a bra from Primark of all places that have only what i can describe as airbags inside. They are actual bags of reinforced plastic blown up. Most bizarre and VERY uncomfortable, but does the trick ;)

I think it's about time that something is done about impressionable youngsters (and aging women, ie. me), that we're no longer bombarded with pictures of emaciated girls/women, with stories attached calling them beautiful and glamorous. It'll never happen, but it should.

Thank you for your comment.. :)
