Uh oh..

Got a call from my mum, in a right state. She'd got a call from a friend of my sisters saying that you have got to come and see her straight away. Apparently she was driving and started feeling really unwell, so bad in fact, that the paramedic was called.

Fast forward - diagnoses - PANIC ATTACK!
She's at home resting.

Oh bless. And how crap is that!!
I know its touch to say but at least now she may have a better understanding of what you have put up with over the years in regards to Panic attacks. x

Really crap. My sister is definitely stressed, that's what has caused hers. She's been on meds for years for that reason, and i don't think it helps that she has 3 children under 11 and one with Aspergers Syndrome.

She called me today (on the way to work) and she said that she had felt that initial adrenaline rush you get before full blown panic sets in, but she made it to work :)

(And as i type this my stupid dog just fell up the stairs!)

My sister for the 12 years i've had this, has never understood and has shown no support, yet in ONE hour, she now completely gets it.

I'm sorry to hear that about your sister :(
I have had pdocs tell me that anxiety is not inherited, but I say, bullcrap. Most of my Aunts, Uncles, and a few of my cousins all have or have had anxiety attacks in the past and some still do. I don't see how it can not be inherited. It's good that your sister has you to talk to about it. It certainly changes others when they experience one. I hope she feels better soon.

Anxiety runs through my entire family in one way or another. Not to the extent that i have it, but it's definitely there in the background.
